Chinese New Year

M Make Ahead Q Quick & Easy

Chinese food is a perennial favorite that makes a welcome meal anytime, but if you're looking for a great excuse to throw a party, consider celebrating Chinese New Year. For this menu I have included enough recipes to make a very special feast. If you make all the menu items, there will be enough food to serve six people, possibly eight. The recipes can, of course, be used selectively for smaller get-togethers. For example, you could omit the Pearl Balls and the Pan-Fried Sesame Noodles and Broccoli and still present a wonderful meal for guests. Of course, any one of the recipes can be enjoyed on its own for everyday meals, and, since quick and easy stir-fries are often the answer to "What's for dinner?" a menu filled with delicious Chinese recipes will no doubt be tapped throughout the year.
